2017 Property Taxes Become Delinquent March 1, 2018
Posted on Sunday January 21, 2018
2017 property tax payments must be received by March 1, 2018 to avoid late payment interest and penalties. Delinquent 2016 property tax payments must be received by Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Atoka Town Hall. Unpaid 2016 property taxes will be turned over to the Chancery Court for collection.

On March 1, 2018 (TCA 67-5-1512), penalties and interest of 1 ½ % per month will accrue and become due until they are filed in Chancery Court in March 2019.

Penalty and interest will be applied on all unpaid 2017 taxes in our office. Taxes can be paid to the Town Recorder at Atoka Town Hall, 334 Atoka Munford Ave, Atoka TN.

Thursday, March 29, 2018 is the last day you can pay your 2016 delinquent property tax in our office. You are advised that after Thursday, March 29, 2018 additional penalties, interest, and court costs will be imposed in consequence of suits to be filed for enforcement of the lien for taxes against property; until the filing of such suits, taxes may be paid in my office through 5:00 pm on Thursday March 29, 2018.

A list of said delinquent taxpayers will not be published. Your 2016 delinquent tax payment must be received by Thursday, March 29, 2018.
